• Avoid contact with water: Remove jewelry before showering, bathing or swimming, as moisture can oxidize metals or dissolve adhesives. This is especially true of chlorinated and salt water.
  
  
• Protect your jewelry from chemicals: Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions and cleaning products as these can discolor or damage materials.
  
  
• Cleaning: Clean the jewelry regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth (eg microfiber) to remove dirt and fingerprints. Avoid aggressive cleaning or abrasive cleaners. For metals: use a special jewelry polishing cloth
  
  
• Storage: Store jewelry in a dry place away from light, ideally in a jewelry box or soft pouch. Prevent pieces of jewelry from rubbing against each other or getting scratched by storing them separately.
